Die Struck Lapel Pins

With this most popular style of lapel pin, a die is used to stamp an impression onto a copper or iron sheet. Copper has a slight advantage over iron since it is a softer metal; therefore, when struck with the die, copper pins typically have sharper images. After being struck by the die, the many impressions are cut out to form individual pin faces. The pins can then either left in that state to give an attractive relief look or the recesses can be filled in with bold colored enamels.

Our high polished lapel pins do not have their recesses filled with enamel paints. Instead the recesses of these very carefully crafted pins are given a matt finish and the raised areas are highly polished for a very distinguished look. These pins are of extremely high quality. Finishes for this style include gold on gold, silver on silver and antique bronze.
